Terms of Service

Madreiga provides a bilingual Torah learning service with source reading, daily learning, study plans, saved progress, bookmarks, offline chapters, calendar and zmanim tools, notifications, and AI-assisted explanations. The service is for personal educational use unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Madreiga is not a rabbinic authority and does not provide personal psak. Content, calendar notes, AI explanations, and generated lessons are study aids. For practical rulings, personal circumstances, unusual cases, or matters with medical, financial, or legal consequences, consult a qualified rabbi and appropriate professional.

• You must provide accurate account information and keep access to your email and devices secure.
• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Public reading features that do not require an account may be used by a younger person with a parent or guardian. You must have legal capacity, or a parent or guardian's authorization, to make a purchase.
• You are responsible for activity under your account unless it results from a security failure by Madreiga.

• Do not use the service for unlawful activity, harassment, scraping, credential sharing, service abuse, or attempts to bypass rate limits, subscriptions, security controls, or token accounting.
• Do not submit private, sensitive, medical, financial, or legally privileged information to AI prompts.
• Do not upload, save, or request content that infringes rights or violates applicable law.

• AI outputs can be incomplete or mistaken and should be checked against the source.
• We may limit, meter, cache, review, or disable AI features to protect quality, cost, and safety.
• Token balances, daily limits, and available AI modes may differ by plan and may change as the service develops.

• Paid plans, prices, taxes, renewal terms, and included AI token allowances are shown at checkout or in account settings.
• A subscription renews automatically at the frequency and price shown in the final order review until cancelled. Before you authorize payment, the hosted checkout shows the product, billing frequency, transaction currency, taxes or fees, and total charged. Any earlier local-currency amount in the app is an estimate if checkout uses currency conversion; the checkout total controls.
• Payments and subscription management are handled by Dodo Payments, acting as Merchant of Record for applicable web transactions, or by the relevant app-store provider. This does not remove Madreiga's responsibilities for the service, consumer rights, or the personal data Madreiga controls. Madreiga does not store full card numbers.
• You may cancel from Settings through the provider portal. Unless the final order or mandatory law says otherwise, cancellation stops future renewals and access continues through the paid billing period; it does not by itself refund a completed charge. Refund, cooling-off, and digital-service withdrawal rights vary by location and purchase channel. Contact billing support promptly; statutory rights are not limited by these terms.
• One-time AI token packs do not renew. The checkout identifies them as one-time purchases and shows the full total before authorization. Token balances have no cash value and cannot be transferred, except where mandatory law requires a remedy.
• If a paid plan ends, the account returns to the available free tier. Saved data may remain available subject to product limits and this policy.

Madreiga relies on third-party services for source texts, calendar data, hosting, authentication, billing, notifications, and AI infrastructure. Third-party texts, translations, datasets, and services may be subject to their own licenses, terms, outages, and limitations.

The Madreiga name, logo, design, application code, and original product copy belong to the relevant owner or licensors. Unless a page expressly grants a license, those materials are reserved. Third-party source texts and translations remain under their own rights and version-specific licenses; see Sources and licenses.

Use of Madreiga is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, how we use it, and how to delete your account.

We work to keep Madreiga reliable, but the service may be interrupted, changed, limited, or discontinued. Features may vary by platform, location, account state, and upstream service availability.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Madreiga is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of data; missed notifications; upstream content errors; or decisions made in reliance on the app. Madreiga's total liability is limited to the amount you paid to Madreiga in the 12 months before the claim.

You may stop using Madreiga at any time and may delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or terminate access if an account violates these terms, creates risk for the service, or is required by law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Courts in Tel Aviv-Yafo have jurisdiction, except that mandatory consumer law may give you protections or permit proceedings in your home jurisdiction that these terms cannot exclude.
